Melting Landscapes

Video Art – 5’36” – stereo sound – 2022

The work is about the experimental visual exploration of the glacier Ferpècle, the upper part of the relatively flat glacier field is also called Plateau d’Hérens and lies south-east of Evolène, Switzerland. Deliberately manipulated and distorted drone imagery aims to talk about environmental impacts, resulting in an abstract visual emotion of the natural territory, where streams of pixels take the forms of erosions, melted textures randomly displaced, deconstructing and morphing the form of the glacier.
